Job Description

The purpose of the Customer Engineer (CE) position is to provide Microsoft customers with reliable technical solutions for customer service delivery and availability, while ensuring satisfaction with Microsoft software on the client and server or resource in high profile projects to ensure customer value. The CE Team supports a diverse variety of technical solutions built with Microsoft technology and products. The Customer Engineer acts as the primary onsite technical contact, providing customer visibility, advanced technical troubleshooting support and problem resolution for Product Support Services and corporate customers, including issues escalated to the highest levels of management. The candidate will provide technical support including product technical workshop/training onsite, as well as via telephone, and electronic media. Work/Educational Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a B.E degree or equivalent. Applicable advanced industry certification is strongly preferred. MCSD, MCDBA, ITIL or another applicable advanced certification is strongly preferred. Five or more years’ experience in systems development or I.T. consulting or five or more year’s industry experience with Microsoft products are required. Deep Hands-On experience from both developer as well as IT Professional perspective on SharePoint 2010/2013/2016, SharePoint Online/Office 365/SharePoint Hybrid, Azure IAAS, Powerplatform, Teams Breadth of knowledge in most workloads of SharePoint and dependent technologies such as Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, Storage, Load Balancers, Virtualization, Azure and strong depth of knowledge in 3-4 key workloads. Well versed with both client side as well server side development technologies (e.g. JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, REST, C#, WCF) Ability to understand the needs of non-technical customers, to conceptualize, launch and deliver technology-enabled business change projects Leadership qualities and ability to coordinate physical and virtual resources and initiatives Executive-level interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills, good listener, ability to provide a trusted voice at the decision-making table and be an advocate of Microsoft’s vision and value proposition Solid understanding of Microsoft’s offerings and experience with the implementation/adoption of key solutions and services such as Azure, Cloud, Platform & Productivity, Business Analytics, Devices & Mobility
